Making Appointments

Initial Consultation and First Treatment

Please call to make your first appointment.

I would like to speak with you briefly about what pain you are having and check if you have any questions for me before we get started.  It is not required, but I recommend scheduling your first three appointments two to three days apart if possible.  Muscles that have been tight for a long time often don’t stay released for more than a day or two at first; grouping early appointments close together helps muscles get better and stay better faster, and with fewer follow-up treatments.

Subsequent Appointments

Easy to make in person, or by phone, email or text.

Rates

Initial Consultation and Treatment – 2 Hours – $280.00

For an initial session I schedule a two hour appointment which includes a complete history, identification of perpetuating factors, a pain map drawing, postural analysis, and range of motion testing.  I will also give you a mini crash course in how muscles become tight and painful and what you can do to reverse the process.  The treatment session is primarily cold laser therapy and stretch, but may include manual trigger point release, neuromuscular therapy, or spray-and- stretch technique.  You will learn stretches and/or corrective actions to address perpetuating factors, decrease pain and improve function as well as self-treatment techniques that can be used at home.

Hourly Treatment Rate – $140.00

After the completed initial consultation, subsequent treatments are one hour with the option to extend your session in 15 minute increments.  Each additional 15 minutes is $30.00.

TEL-APPOINTMENTS

For new patients, call to set up an initial appointment time, then submit payment via Paypal, Zelle, or check by 24 hours before the appointment.  I can also take a credit card number over the phone, but this is not the most secure method.  Paypal and Zelle payments should be sent to my email address.  My business phone number is a landline; payments texted to a landline disappear into cyberlimbo.

Payment

Payment in cash, by check, Zelle or credit card is due at the time of service.  There is a small convenience fee for credit card charges.

Insurance

I do not bill insurance companies.  However, depending your insurance plan, you may be eligible for reimbursement with a doctor’s prescription.  If this is the case, ask your physician to write a prescription specifically for Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy – Evaluate & Treat.  Please be sure to have him/her include diagnosis and diagnosis code.  Use this prescription to obtain pre-approval for payment from your insurance company.

With your completed payment, I can provide you with a superbill which you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

FLEXIBLE SPENDING AND HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNTS

You may use your FSA or HSA funds for payment.  Please be sure to get pro-approval if required.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or re-schedule an appointment, kindly call 301 649 1798 at least 24 hours in advance so that I may have the opportunity to offer the time to someone else.

If you cancel or re-schedule an appointment less than 24 hours in advance or fail to keep an appointment then you are responsible for a cancellation fee equivalent to the fee for the time scheduled.

If you are late to an appointment, you are still responsible for the full time scheduled, and we will still need to end on time.

Hours

Monday through Friday, 12:00 – 5:00

What to Wear

Cold Laser Therapy requires contact with your skin for best results.  Please wear loose, comfortable clothing that can be moved out of the way on the areas being treated.  Sweat pants or shorts and a tank top are ideal.  In the alternative you may opt to undress and be draped.  If you are being treated for headaches or TMJD, remove makeup beforehand.

Please DO NOT wear perfume, cologne, oils, scented hair treatments or scented body products.

Where to Park

Parking in my neighborhood is unrestricted, so you may park anywhere.  You may also park in the driveway.  If you are unsteady on your feet, please park all the way up by the house where the driveway is level.
