The Fine Print


Initial Consult – $240

For an initial session I schedule a two hour appointment – the first hour includes a complete history, identification of perpetuating factors, a pain drawing, postural analysis, and range of motion testing—which is followed by an hour of treatment. The treatment session may include manual trigger point release, neuromuscular therapy, spray-and-stretch technique, stretches and/or corrective actions to address perpetuating factors, self-treatment strategies and teaching self-care stretches.

Follow-up treatments generally require an hour. In some cases, only a brief half hour session may be necessary. Fees will be pro-rated.

Hourly Treatment Rate - $120 (After Completed Initial Consult)

Payment – Payment is expected at time of treatment by check or cash.

Health Insurance

I do not accept payment by insurance and I am not a member of any health insurance plan.

Note: My license is as a Massage Therapist and I cannot diagnose by law.

However, depending how your insurance plan is written, you may be eligible for insurance reimbursement under your plan—IF—a physician prescribes your treatment.

If this is the case, you may wish to ask your physician to write a prescription specifically for:

RX: Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy - Evaluate & Treat
Include: Diagnosis & Diagnosis Code

With completed payment, I then issue receipts to you (including the applicable treatment codes), which you then may submit to your insurance company for any possible reimbursement as your plan may permit.

Flexible Spending/Health Savings Account Receipts

Available upon receipt of payment. HSA checks accepted.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel an appointment, kindly call 301 649 1798 and let me know 24 hours in advance so that I may have the opportunity to reschedule the time with someone else.

If you cancel an appointment less than 24 hours in advance or fail to keep an appointment—and I am unable to reschedule that time with someone else—then you are responsible for a Cancellation Fee equivalent to the regular hourly rate of $100 per hour.

If you are sick or hospitalized— call me as soon as you know to cancel and then you will not be held responsible for the appointment.

What to bring

Please wear loose comfortable clothing, gym attire, or a swimsuit that will permit access and freedom of movement throughout the session (no jeans). If you are being treated for headaches or TMJ, remove makeup beforehand. No perfume please.
